Have you thought about a new career in natural health but want more affordable training that you can complete online?

The School of Modern Naturopathy is the original online naturopathy school, with students and graduates in 20 countries. Our professional course is designed for you to study at home and gain an accredited diploma at your own pace.

Internet-based naturopathy courses are cheaper to run, and we reflect this saving in our course fees.

Lower fees do not mean lower quality; we are very proud of our course content. Our tutor is one of the world's most respected naturopathic nutritionists and authors, Linda Lazarides, author of the Waterfall Diet and the Textbook of Modern Naturopathy.

With a subject like naturopathic nutrition (also known as naturopathic nutritional therapy or holistic nutrition), very little in the way of hands-on demonstration is required.

This is a perfect subject to study by distance learning, which means you can stay at home and make good use of the time and money you would have spent travelling.

Naturopathy Courses: Our Training

Being a successful practitioner is all about the quality of your training. We work extremely hard to provide a high-quality learning experience which will get you the treatment successes required to stand out in your profession.

With a diploma from the School of Modern Naturopathy you would be qualified to work as a wellness counsellor, health coach, naturopathic nutritionist or nutrition advisor. You would be eligible to set up in private practice, or work in a health club, health food store or perhaps for a vitamin or natural products company.

If you plan to work as a writer or journalist, you would gain an in-depth understanding of holistic health which would greatly improve the quality of your books and articles and also make it much easier for you to find ideas and reliable information for articles to interest your readers.

More information

The School of Modern Naturopathy opened in January 2011. Its founder and course director is acclaimed British natural health expert and author Linda Lazarides. Linda has more than 20 years experience in naturopathy. Unlike some other courses, Linda likes to be hands-on with her students. She always answers questions, and uses only reliable and creditable sources of information.

The School of Modern Naturopathy is accredited in the United Kingdom, Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, which means that you can be registered, insured and work there.

Becoming a successful practitioner

If you really want to help people with natural medicine, you have to do more than just give them instructions without really knowing if they will work. People are smart. They have had tips from all their friends, and probably tried some of them out in a half-hearted way. It's not easy to take these things on trust and make sweeping changes to your lifestyle, especially to your food. Small changes really don't work very well.

So how do you acquire enough authority to gain trust and make people listen? After all, if it really worked, we would all know about it, right?

The answer is to give proper explanations that make sense to discerning people. Not the random snippets that you find in popular magazines, but a really clear explanation of the body's needs and how your client is not meeting them. This is so important if you want to be a successful practitioner.

Our course makes it all very easy. You will get access to the medical databases that spell out the research and the facts, but your tutor Linda Lazarides will summarize everything in clear and simple language. She joins up the dots so you can see how science is actually backing up ancient naturopathic and holistic concepts like "Food as Medicine", "Sickness Begins in the Intestines" and "Detoxification". This approach is called Modern Naturopathy.
